Fort Leonard Wood’s post basketball team was undefeated in five games over the weekend, as it won the inaugural Great Midwestern Shootout, held Saturday and Sunday, at Davidson Fitness Center. Play began, Saturday, in the four-team tournament, with Fort Leonard Wood defeating the U.S. Marine Corps, 81-25. Fort Leonard Wood later defeated Whiteman Air Force Base, 60-46, and downed the Runnin’ Rebels 57-49. In other games, Saturday: -- Whiteman AFB beat the Runnin’ Rebels, 72-54; -- The Runnin’ Rebels defeated USMC, 59-46; -- Whiteman AFB defeated USMC, 57-50; On Sunday, Fort Leonard Wood started the day off with a win, defeating USMC, 55-23. Fort Leonard Wood defeated Whiteman AFB, 78-67, in the final game of the tourney.
