The Lebanon Concert Association invites audiences to have, “a blast with the past” as it brings “Laughing With The Legends” to the Cowan Civic Center stage at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 16.

Billed as a “multi-faceted and fun-filled celebration of the Fabulous Fifties,” the show features the husband and wife team of Brian and Joey Gurl performing impersonations of Lucille Ball, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Liberace, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino and several other icons of pop culture.

During “Laughing With The Legends,” the performers offer their take on memorable highlights from the era – including a dramatic vocal rendition of “My Prayer”, a piano medley from “The Sound Of Music” and spoofs on everything from cigarette commercials, to rock ’n’ roll, to fashions of the day.

The Gurls — known professionally as “Gurl & Girl” — have been performing together for more than 20 years, starting their career together by opening their own 300-seat theater in Vermont, where they produced and wrote new shows each year for eight straight years. With the help of Broadway director Karen Shepard, “Gurl & Girl” have produced and written a dozen touring shows including “Laughing With The Legends,” performing them throughout the country from Cape Cod to Arizona and Florida to Illinois for numerous festivals, theaters, dinner theaters, private communities, resorts, tour companies, concert series and performing arts centers.
